Maggi is a brand from the Nestlé company specializing in the preparation of instant soup, broths, ketchups and instant noodles. The company was founded by the Maggi family (of Italian origin) in Switzerland in 1872, and later merged with Nestlé in 1947. The founder of the company was Julius Maggi becoming a pioneer of the food industry. The company's flagship product was the Maggi seasoning (Maggi-Würze), served in small bottles that resembled soy sauce.
